Where to fly fish in Saskatchewan,
Organized fishing outings,
Library
Between the club members and club libraries there is a wide selection of books on a wide variety of topics. These include topics like: stream fishing techniques, lake fishing techniques, fishing guides, casting, fly tying, rod making, net making, entomology, ecology, limnology and more.
Locations
While many fly fishers are protective of their favorite fishing spots, there is always someone around with some good advice for newcomers. Our Fly Fishing Forum has a lot of good old information that new fly fishers may find useful when trying to learn the basics about a lake they may have heard about or are interested in trying.
Equipment
Getting the right equipment can be just as important as choosing the right location or lure. While Saskatchewan does hold some excellent stream and river fishing it has a much larger selection of still water fishing (lake fishing). Fishing lakes presents some unique challenges and opportunities. Having a good sinking line or intermediate sinking line can often be the difference between catching a fish and not catching a fish.
